Default Not Exactly a Midge Pattern

Got some very nice old Veniards seal fur from a friend a while back and have been meaning to tie some presentation flies with it and finally got around to it. My eye was rusty and there are some things I do not like... But this is a 5/0 36890 and finding materials large enough for the wings was a challenge...

Feel free to be as critical as you like... seriously... As I am my own toughest critic and I know what could be improved. The riffle hitch space is something I almost always leave... This is the first attempt at a full dress fly for quite a while and I wish I had started with a 2/0 and worked up... It is the venerable Durham Ranger.

Purty, real purty. Beautiful fly Hap. It appears to me the lay off didn't hurt you one bit.
