I have another personal rod for myself in the works. It's a 9' 3wt and this is the grip and seat I just finished for it. I finally got around to getting the proper saw for my new cork slicing jig as you can tell from the photos and the thin sections of accent cork. Now that I have the jog working proper I have started using burnt cork sliced to 1/8" rather than craft foam and I like the looks of it. Also sliced some rubberized to 1/4" for the ends. Main body of grip is dark mix and then two rings of light mix at the ends.

I was going to use a green Jadewood insert I had but I have done a few "green" seats on green rods lately so that's getting a bit dull to me now. So I went with a Dragonwood insert which I think matches the grip very well. Also tapered the front down into the winding check for a smooth flow/shape.
