    This was in Gillies (Colorado Springs Fly Shop) online newsletter.

    Shane Stalcup Passes: Noted fly tyer and author Shane Stalcup, 48, passed away recently at his home in Colorado. Shane wrote for several fly fishing magazines and his book Mayflies Top to Bottom is one of the most innovative fly tying books to date. He will be missed by all who knew him, watched him tie flies over the years at local fly shops, and fly fishing shows.
