My dear friend Randy Fratzke, wrote a article for FAOL, about drinking and driving! that is too long to post on the Bulletin Board

Memorial Day was the first National Holiday, for decorating the grave sites of fallen soldiers from the Civil War (War between the States 1861-1865).
Memorial Day is not about car racing in Indianapolis, or going shopping for Memorial Day Sales. Memorial Day is remembering the sacrifice of lives given by American Soldiers to "Protect and Defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic..."!
Glory is reserved only to those who sacrificed their lives, so others may be free! Many who died in uniform where not even U.S. Citizens, many where newly arrived immigrants fresh off the boats from Europe, embracing the "Freedoms of Liberty" that the United States offered.
Attend the Memorial Day Services that are held in your communities. Go to the Cemeteries Honor those in your community that gave their lives so you may enjoy the freedoms that where gained though Blood, Sweat, Toil and Sacrifice by others.
Their gift to future generations of Americans, so that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom --and that this government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
