This isn't a great phto, its from Google Earth but this the section I regularly fish, a little over 3/4 mile. Saturday I picked up 10, today 2 stocker rainbows and some of the native browns. I float directly over a good size carp who ignored my nymph. It's a tailwater fishery with the dam (Lake Sidney Lanier / Buford Dam) about 6 miles upstream. Considering the population density along the river (800,000+ on my side) it is a reasonably good stream with relatively light traffic. It flows along the north and west side of Atlanta (pop. 5mm+) down to the gulf.
