I don't tie my own flies cause I get them so cheap on line, so I just do the leaders to mess around and try to experiment on affecting my casting with changes in the leaders, also it help me to learn a little more about the dynamics of the entire setup, how one thing affects the other. I know guys that spend hours tying flies. I can sit and say it's a waste of time tying flies but everyone likes to put a little personnal touch to their sport I guess. I think my original post was for leader tyers and what we have to work with as far as information on the how too's. Funny, I know guys that swear a knot tied leader can't be used for Brown trout because it'll scare them for sure. But at the end of the day when neither one of us catch anything, who's right and who's wrong
