    Default Crappie

    Got out with my kids on saturday night... spent most of the time baiting and chucking bobbers out for them. But i did take my fly rod along and managed to cast it a few times. Got a few small bluegills and bass and managed to hook into a nice 12.5" crappie!

    There is a current post on here about 'what size clouser for crappies' and this one is pretty small!! It is a black/orange craftfur #12 with bead chain eyes. I use clousers alot for smallmouth fishing in my river (#8-#4), but seldom use them in still water for some reason - that may have to change. I tied these small ones to search for bluegill. Anyway, had a fun short little trip. Some pics......
