Snake River Float Trip Outfitters

When I am in the Yellowstone area this summer, I'm considering doing a float trip down the Snake River in or near the Grand Teton National Park since I am traveling through Jackson Hole. A float trip would enable me to fish while my wife could enjoy the scenery. There are a lot of outfitters near there. Can anyone recommend a guide/outfitter that they have used?

The rent's too high for a "bad" guide to survive in Jackson. I don't use guides but I'll stand by my logic. Orvis, right in town, is probably a GOOD bet but, then again, there's NO shortage of services there.

If I were going to plunk down that kind of money, I'd ask the shops for references and contact them. I also like to look at their sites and see if they keep their reports up-to-date. For some reason, I get a better vibe from places like that; of course if they talk of epic fishing days while the river's are puking mud and 200' Douglas Firs are floating down river, I'd call BS.
