The Centers for Disease Control, the Department of Homeland Security and several leading computer security firms have issued the following announcement.
"We have anecdotal evidence that Viking Fish Repellant has mutated. In its mutated form VFR can now interfear with the operation of computers. The most vulnerable appear to be computers hosting websites related to fly fishing. Symptoms of an infection include
Diffuclt/failed upgrades
Tempory loss of websites
Multiple panic e-mails from users
Many people have also complained of withdrawl like symptoms.
There is no known cure or method of detection. However, VFR does not appear to be fatal or permanent. Except to its carrier"
