For Saturday, the weatherman said showers, thunderstorms, and high 20+mph wind. Well, those of us who work for a living go fishing when we can, not always when the conditions are right so me and 3 other fool fishing pals hit the river anyway. Luckily the rain, while heavy at times, didn't last all day and we only got caught in one very short thunder storm. So while the weather man was wrong about the rain, he hit the wind dead center. We got blown all over the place and I swear we paddled every yard at least 3 times. There was wind gusts so bad, at one point I could not paddle against it.

All of us caught some fish but we worked for everyone of them. The fly that worked best for me was a yellow and chartruese Deciever. I caught a LM, my biggest striper, and about 13 smallmouth bass. Best of all, we took a 16 year old kid on his first river trip in a kayak and he caught his first smallmouth bass and it was on a fly he tied.

Now for the pics...

Did I mention rain?

Then some more rain

Then the sun came out and the wind howled and some fish started biting
