Punch Yarn is fantastic stuff! I use it for a lot of things such as:
I will use it as an underbody to build up a body in the shape I want and then cover it with dubbing or other material called for in a pattern.
I use it for the body when I make leech patterns. You can palmer the leech yarn over the punch yarn and then brush it good.
I use yellow punch yarn for a body and a piece of black punch yarn pulled over the top and then palmer a hackle over it to make my version of a crackleback.
When I tie up John Scott's PSC, I always put lead wraps on the hook shank and cover it with punch yarn before tying up the PSC.
I have even cut up some punch yarn in smaller pieces and put into a coffee bean grinder and made some great dubbing with it.
There are many other ways I use it, but, will not bore you any more. Just let your creative side take over and you can use it for many things. It can be used anywhere a pattern calls for Uni-Yarn also.
Have fun with it.....

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.
