The 2nd quake in Christchurch, technically an aftershock, has really devistated the city down there. It's going to take a long time to recover, and with the economy down (as it is world wide), it's not a good time to be struggling. Auckland was not affected, as we're many many miles away, so we just see the reports on the news. All one can do is hope that the worst is over. They're a pretty tough bunch down there so they'll get through in the end. Just not a good road to walk. Mind you, we're lucky (though that word does seem inappropriate in this context) compared to Japan. They have been struck with so much damage, and the leaks at the nuclean power plants make the recovery process so much more difficult as that's just another layer of problems.

Very generous of you to make donations. I know you're having you're own health battles to fight as well. Take care.
