    Default freshwater tarpon and peacocks

the water here is coming back to life from the freeze of 2010...a few resident tarpon remained for the winter this time and are ready for action about now...rain is needed to get the canals gates open to restock...very good 6wt action...peacocks from shore until the tarpon roll and I attack

Having caught a couple of those youngsters on a medium weight bass spinning rod I know how much fun the tarpon are, you make me really want to find a reason to come to south Florida with a flyrod. You are a lucky man.

Holy cow...looks just like the fish I'm catching around here. If you hold your breath for 3 minutes then squint at a bluegill, it looks identical to that peacock.

NICE FISH - I'm very jealous.
Thank God for my wife, the midge nymph and those hapless Iowa Hawkeyes!

I went out this morning and seen some monsters...they quit rolling as soon as I got up to them...once it rains and the gates open the tarpon will fill the lake...its going to be a really good yr for tarpon, especially freshwater tarpon...I cant find anybody that wants to fish
