    Default Wading boots

Old tennis shoes that have been frozen solid overnight aren't gonna cut it for the rest of the season.
Maryland has banned felt soles, but alotta retailers still sell mostly felt sole, and the lug-sole models are much higher (way beyond my price range).
I'll have 60$ to work with, and lug soles are a must.
    Suggestions?

Don't know how good these are, but they meet your $ requirements:

    Maybe check EBay, too.

I bought a pair of non-felt wading boots for my trip to New Zealand at Bass Pro Shop for $30.00. Ain't the best in the world but if they take them away from me at US customs because of NZ mud snails or rock snot I won't be out much. Actually there were 3 choices there for that price. Jim

Those are exactly the boot I just bought. Mine however, were felt soles and on sale. The price is what attracted me, along with the fact that Washington hasn't yet outlawed felt soles. When the time comes to convert, I'll take my boots to a cobbler and have the felt removed and have stealth lugs attached. Any good shoe cobbler can do what it takes to convert your favorite boots. Just a thought. Also, Korkers has a shoe-over sandal type strap on model that may do just what you need, once the felt has been removed.
