Good luck buddy!!!!!!!!! Basic can be a blast or a pain LOL. Intel can be fun or boring but you get used to it. Once you get through Basic and Tech School then your first base. Once that 5 level is done - hit the Education Center and take advantage of the Tuition Assistance program and take a bunch of class's, and save the GI Bill for when you get out.
Having worked in the Education Office when I was Active Duty - you can turn your career field with more class's into an Associate Degree then move on to a Bachelors then you could try for the Airmen Education and Commissioning Program http://usmilitary.about.com/cs/airforcetrng/a/aecp.htm . Helped a lot of good people get into that program and get commissioned.
Enjoy and have a great time, and welcome to the club!!!!!!!!!! AIM HIGH

My grandson AB Eddie is over half way through his basic training at Lackland AFB. We've had a few letters from him and he called on Thanksgiving. I have found a facebook page related to USAF BMT and we check it every day for news and postings. Today there were photos posted of his TRS and FLT and we got to see a picture of him for the first time since Nov, 6. He looks so much like a man it just makes my heart burst with pride. We have our airplane tickets and hotel reservations for his graduation in January. I just had to share. Jim
I'm either going to, coming from or thinking about fishing. Jim
