Default Fishing buddy getting a new job

My grandson is going into the Air Force. Eddie had his first day of testing for Airforce (ASVAB) a couple weeks ago - he scored a 93 out of possible 99. He went back to San Diego Wednesday for a few more physical tests and was told he will probably be called in August to go to San Antonio, TX for basic. They are just waiting for a job in his field to open.
    I couldn't be prouder. Jim

    Jim,
Few things get my attention as much as a grandad's pride in his grandson. In today's "diluted' family structures , YOUR statement of pride and obvious participation in his life is the way it SHOULD be.

Outstanding Eddie! With those scores think big because you will be able to do anything you want in any of the branches. Please take my advice and do not stay enlisted. Get some bars and stars on them shoulder boards.

Good for Eddie, San Antonio in August is lovely, actually I reported to Ft. Polk, LA August 29 and it was the best time of the year. A month and half of hot weather and then into fall. What MOS is he going to get into? The AF has a lot of good training to find a job when you get out.

Uncle Jesse, He is going into intelligence. Probably play with computers and such. His main interest is going to college with the GI Bill when he's done with his enlistment. He will do well.

One of my best friend's son has about 15 years in the AF working with computers. He just transferred up from the central command hdq in Tampa to Warner Robbins in GA, not 40 years old and in the shadows of retirement. But the GI bill is not a bad plan.
