Batson 9' 5wt 2pc
This is one of the rods I built to take to the Midwest Fly Fishing expo this weekend to have at my booth. In all honestly...I'm somewhat hoping it doesn't sell this weekend because I like not only the action but also the looks of this one so much I certainly wouldn't mind keeping it for myself and adding it to my rod collection, if I can somehow justify adding yet another rod that is
The blank is a Matte Green Batson blank 9' 5wt 2pc model. Reel seat is one of American Tackle's "braided" style skeleton over a burl rosewood insert with double lock rings. Grip is a reversed halfwells with matching wood accent ends. On the inscription of the rod I laid down about 6" of black thread with some single and double turn trims of silver metallic thread. Then added the closing line from the my fav movie A River Runs Through It.
Main wraps are Gudebrod Brown & Black Classic Twist (CP'ed) with two turns of metallic silver trim.
