Another trick is to add a small amount of white rabbit to the mix, it will brighten the look and won't take away from the beaver texture or effect.

DaveMac, your idea on mixing the white rabbit with not quite white enough beaver worked like a charm. A mix of almost white enough beaver at 60 % and very nice white rabbit at 40% made a great mix. Took all guard hair out of both before mixing, well nearly all, and I now have a container of really nice pure white dubbing. This mix plu sthe thread idea and a bleaching suggestion I have not yet tried but looks good should put me in a position of never needing white dubbing again. Thanks again.
I am so glad that worked well for you. It is amazing how many different color combinations you can get when you mix one material with another.
