[Poll]: Do you strip or reel your fish in?
wow, great response to this topic. Lets take it another step and and ask why...
what are your perceived benifits of stripping or reeling...
[A] Reel all the time
[B] Strip all the time
[C] Reel only for big fish
[D] I don't know I just do whatever!

I strip when I am river fishing and the fish aren't peeling line. For the bigger fish or the runners I try to get it on the reel as soon as possible and let the drag (either palm or reel drag) take care of them.
On Stillwater I think I use the reel more.

For me it's C, but since I don't often catch BIG fish, I rarely reel.

I would say c (for Steelies & Salmon) and for trout E, All of the above.
I stripped once on the river... The people living on the river and the cops didn't think it was funny.
