This is a rod for a beginner that is just getting into the sport of fly fishing. I thought the more mod/fast action of a Batson Forecast would suit him well and not break his budget to get his feet wet when just starting out. Blank is a Batson 7'6" 3wt 2pc model with light colored wood insert, aluminum hardware, custom grip with brown burl, dark mix, rubberized, and burnt cork. Wraps are Royal blue with CP, metallic single turn trim bands and hardloy stripper.
