Default getting around to it swap

Have you been meaning to learn to spin deerhair or tie wonderwings? Maybe you want to try some dremel bugs or clouser minnows. This swap is for you. Looking for twelve people brave enough to set out to learn something new well enough to swap the results. Duplicates of the same technique are fine. This is about geting around to trying something new. Sign up by the end of February with flies due by the end of March. Send toe tags with recipes and FAOL handle along with flies in a crushproof container and return postage on an addressed envelope . I've always liked the looks of woven flies but wondered if they were worth the extra effort so that is what I'll be doing.

I've managed to get a fishable fly after spending a lot of time over last few days. This is a size ten for Midwest and Eastern streams:

and this is a size six forWestern streams:

Sign-up ends Monday. This isn't as hard as you might think. It only took me about eight hours to get a good fly and the hair I pulled out will undoubtably come in handy for tying something.

Bill DeSavage's flies arrived today. I don't think you're that far off from getting it Bill. Maybe another forty or fifty flies? If you want to keep trying you might google Kelly galloups vidio on tying zoo cougars. A diferent perspective might help. You haven't lost your touch on the tiny flies. They look good.

Well, it appears that there are going to be just seven of us so you will need to send six flies. I will be sending each of you a p.m. with my address. If you haven't received it by tonight please let me know.

Mocodan"s muddlers arrived today. He has set a high standad to meet in this one. Dan also sent everyone a nice elk hair caddis. Thanks Dan and thanks for the extra flies. I especially like the midge pupa as I have set fishing more midges as one of my goals for this season
