another thing I could mention is the paddle pictured is not a regular size paddle but near 8ft long...it really helps when standing up...you dont have to bend down and you gain considerable leverage...standing with the outriggers deployed and paddling is slow at best...this will help you reach around the pontoons better and gain you more distance for your efforts...obviously the shorter paddle will be easier to put aside and easier to get out of the way to land your fish if needed...I paddle upwind and drift back standing the entire time...I just bounce off the edges but if it looks like trees will grab my rod I will just grab the paddle quickly and make a small adjustment and go on...without stopping...it drifts about the same as a slow walk even in high winds...as it spins slowly from the wind you can actually turn around while standing and keep fishing...pretty trick
