    Hhhhhhhey Steve,
    This thread ( dissent notwithstanding) is a good idea. To know the man one must know about the man.
    As for me:

    AGE: almost 68 ( but trying my BEST not to show it)

    TRADES: A former Real Estate broker , Currently, and for the past 25 years, General Contractor- commercial remodeling. No reason to retire since "THEY" do all the work--- ALMOST.

    HOBBIES: Golf, flyfishing , racquetball

    GRIPES: Too few to mention

    HOMESTEAD: Wife of 44 years, 3 grown childs ( 1 son 2 daughters) , 7 Grandkids - no current pets ( coyotes in back yard though)

    HAIR COLOR: Distinguished, mostly covered head thanks to DRUGS

    Age: Soon to be 49

    Trades: Air Force 10 1/2 yrs, Civilian in Government Service Air Force Reserves and ICE, coming up on 29 yrs in Gov.

    Hobbies: Hunting (when I'm not hurt LOL), Fishing (all kinds), tackle making, computers, Video Games (yeah I know), Flea Markets (always find some good stuff), auctions when I can afford to go.

    Gripes: Tired of all the storms this years LOL, but spring has to get here some time this year

    Homestead: My wife and I (28 yrs), my spoiled rotten 14 yo Black Lab (rescued abused animal), Grown married daughter in Michigan with one child my grand daughter, Grown married son, Army stationed in Kansas.

    Hair Color: Brown and grey (way more gray) very short, just got used to the military cut.

    AGE: Older than dirt, however there are a few rocks older than I

    TRADES: Dental hygienist, Mom, Studio manager/photographer, Mom, wife, Mom, grandmom

    HOBBIES: fly fishing, rod building, fly tying, photography, knitting

    GRIPES: None that really matter, not that anyone would do anything about them anyhow!

    HOMESTEAD: Husband of 42 years, 3 grown children, 3 in-laws, 5 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, one massively huge, exceedingly spoiled dog

    HAIR COLOR: That which is left, heavily salted with flecks of pepper
    Trouts don't live in ugly places.

    TRADES: Ret. USNR (E7) Minesweeps/Subs, Millwright, Mechanic, State Weighmaster.

    HOBBIES: Fly fishing, Rod building, Photography, Enjoying Gods beautiful outdoors

    GRIPES: People who think that they are better than everyone else. The older I get the more gripes I have.

    FAMILY: Two children, seven Grandchildren, and many brothers (& sisters) in the Lord.

    HAIR COLOR: Some grey, some not so grey.

    TRADES: Mechanical Designer

    HOBBIES: Fly fishing (fresh and salt), surfcasting, building scale military armor and aircraft

    GRIPES: None that really matter

    FAMILY: Divorced, one daughter, the best girl,in the world...Duke Univ Grad and living 560 miles away from daddy. I live alone.

    HAIR COLOR: Some grey. A lot better than most of my friends.

    Age: Old. Seventy something or other. Way up there. Dont feel like it so that is a good thing.

    Trades: Agronomist. Golf Course Supt. Built golf courses. Maintained golf courses. Consultant with the National D-Day Memorial. And before that, a Marine. Retired in '98.

    Hobbies: Fishing of any kind. Fly first choice. Walking. Collecting vintage fishing equipment. Going to auctions and estate sales.

    Gripes: Environmentalists with an agenda of keeping people of of public lands. And a few others but wont mention.

    Homestead: Married, three grown children. Two grandsons.

    Hair Color: Silver/grey. Has only turned a different color. Hasn't turned loose yet.

    No one even commented on the fact that I got a haircut and changed
    the color to silver to reflect a better image....

    I feel like a new man....


    I am learning allot about all the old farts like me on the site , with the exception
    of the boards sweetheart "Betty", were all on the same slope..

    Occupation: Retired Materials Specialist (The governments way of describing one who works in a warehouse)

    Hobbies: (Now) Flyfishing, tying, reading, carving antler, singing, watching tv, tending my disabled wife. (Then) Hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, camping, archery, climbing, swimming, woodworking, boating, and a few I've forgotten.

    Gripes: People who think they know it all are particularly annoying to those of us who do!

    Homestead: Wife and I at home. Four grown children. Two married. Two single. 8 Grandchildren. 4 step-grandchildren. 1 great-grandchild.

    Hair color: I've grown up through a head of mostly gray hair. Fuzz on top.

    TRADES: USMC, GE Aviation Field Rep., BBQ Pitmaster, Lackey

    HOBBIES: Fly Fishing, Hiking, Computer Nerdery, Bonsai

    GRIPES: Scraping of teeth on metal utensils.

    HOMESTEAD: Single, sometimes I have a Beta fish in my house. The only live 3 years at best so it gets depressing after a couple die.

    HAIR COLOR: What's left of it is reddish...

    Ooooohhhhh. BBQ Pitmaster....Ribs....Mmmmmmmmmmmhhhh. I agree, the sound of teeth scraping on metal utinsels is terrible. Much better is the sound of teeth grating on bones and having meat with a handle, like a rib bone, chop bone, etc.
