Best color for wraps on dark bamboo

If you haven't wrapped yet, I would go with an olive as well. Or possible a lighter green. I have a spool that I am saving for such a rod some day.

I am by no means a professional and these 2 Dickersons are my first serious build from a blank. Lightly flamed probably not as dark as you are refering to but just an idea of wrap colors. Black/Chinese Red and Antique Gold/Black. Good luck with the rod and post some pictures when you get a chance.

Thanks for all the input. I have the rod wrapped with antique gold but have not applied the varnish yet -- wraps look OK when wetted to get an ideal how it would look without CP but still not sold all the way. Still thinking it over.

Just my opinion but I like the mannner in which Antique Gold ages without color preserver.
