Middle of the bulls eye here. Which means, we could get 20 inches of snow, or 2, blowing howling winds blizzard style, or calm, and -50 degrees or just zero. I don't think these guys know really what may happen! Meanwhile, going to snuggle in with a nice blankie, my dog, and a good book ... till Spring! <with memories of Chicago 1967 and Omaha 1974>

Got some freezsing rain last night. It is just starting to snow with the big push just south and west of us.
Had a friend just pull me out a a ditch that I went into to avoid being hit early this morning.
    Nice to have good neighbors.

Well made it to -41 just at sunrise here in NE Montana. Winds 8-12mph wind chill near -62. Up to -32 at this time, with -53 windchill. Everyone stay safe and bundle up or better yet stay HOME. Have went out after a lot of folks this winter that were not prepared or thought hey I have 4x4 no problem.

Yes Betty, the weathermen and women give us our snowfall totals, like they rolled them out of a yatzee can. The "Calm before the storm" yeah rightttttt! I told a lady at work, that I watch all three networks and the weather channel. I take the average of all. I through out the high and low, and then take the average of the rest. Betty if we have enough snow to lose my dog in it, I won't be at BPS Thursday to tie.

Looks like this one is going to miss me by a county or two to the south. Here in NE Iowa we had record snowfalls in December. The first week in Jan. we had some rain and it settled the snow to about half of its original height. We keep getting 4-6 on a regular basis and now the snowbanks along my driveway are taller than me! I'd hate to think how much snow we'd have had we not had the rain. We had 6 inches yesterday and they're saying another 3-4 today so I will be shoveling the global warming stuff a couple of more times today.

I can't say about fly fishing but there's a lot of feed lots in Kansas.

Calling for ice in the morning, maybe a half inch of it. I need to run out to the store after work to stock up on essentials...hooks, feathers and fur. Who knows how long we will be trapped at home.

Groundhog Day at a local County Park scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled. Safety of public coming to event is a concern. Wonder if Grover the groundhog will be able to come up through the ice to look around. Be safe all.
