For a low end, price wise, the Schrade is good. In the past I owned several at different times. For many years my pocket knife choice was the Buck 101. Some time about 16 years ago I was finding the steel in the Buck knives would not hold the sharpness I wanted so after a search I found the Kershaw was supposed to have better steel. So I purchaced one of the single blade jobs called "Wild Turkey". For me it has been the best pocket knife I have ever owned. but is a bit pricey.
My favorite and true love has been my KA-Bar D2 Extreme. Not a pocket knife and not one to carry around. I needed it for a purpose and it served me well. I can still shave with it or chop kindling. It is now retired as am I.
