"The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of that which is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope" -John Buchan
Just for y'all that are interested. I've had one of the new Rite Bobbins for about 6-months now-give or take a month or so- but I've used it religiously during this period. It has been a great investment, One, because of the half hitch abilities, and two because of the tension capabilities. I haven't had any trouble with the inside of the tube getting damaged... I think that someone must be putting way too much pressure on their tools for that to happen, nor have I had a problem with hook sizes... between 22 and 10. Initially I didn't think I would use the half hitch feature, simply because I normally use my hands to do that, but it was so simple, I ended up using it on the second or third fly that I tied.
It is a great bobbin and I'll probably buy another someday...
Very cool bobbin.....and the way he demonstrated the whip finish was interesting for sure.
Thanks for posting.
