Thanks all! To answer most of your questions: 1) The fish is not Floy tagged, that is just the light on the fin (I zoomed in on the origional) 2) Haven't been down to the Fall, but heard it's a little off as is the Met and all local waters. 3) We were using 9' leader with 10# test swinging leeches and nymphing stones, but using droppers with 3X and sz.16 secret flies, all grabbed the smaller fly. And, Mr. Bug the Metolius River was around before the gear company (I climb too, and have alot of there gear which is mostly made here in town), but it is one of those fabled spring creeks/rivers like the H. Fork and Silver Creek. Going to the head water where it comes right out of the ground and to drive a few miles down to see how large it gets is an amazing sight to see, and with all the big Ponderosa Pines is amazing and will take your breath away. A one fish day on this river is a GOOD DAY and for us to get three bows and three bulls, well, is just OK.
