Brand New Swap Box

Thanks Albasurf for debugging the box. Looking forward to seeing all the goodies in it when it comes through Pa. Anyone taking things from it might want to do even further bug work. I know anything I take will get at least two doses of paradichloridbenzene and then lots of moth balls during storage same as all my materials. I don't think blaming or rock throwing is calledfor, stuff happens. Lets just work to make this a great swap.

I have just read through this thread and have a suggestion. The next person to get the box should add a flea collar or no pest strip to the contents. If you do it should be clearly labeled so everyone treats it as toxic.

Folks I hate to do this but I'm gonna have to drop out of the swap. My car broke down and the cost of fixing it doesn't leave me money for fun stuff like the swap box. I let Popperfly know and let ScubaTim know to skip me and send the box to Bbrothe1. Hopefully if it goes to a next round I'll get in then.

Ok I got the box today. I took out:

Box of Mustad Hooks
Three spools of thread
Three colors of chenille
Some red foam bodies
Pack of MicroFibbets (Never used them before so I thought I’d give them a try)
A package of thread buttons
I pulled off some badger colored saddle feathers about 8 feathers total

Here’s what I put in:

two bags of hooks - I got a bag of hooks at a flea market and when I took a batch out they were mixed straight eye and bent eye, checked the bent eye against some mustad 94840 and they look pretty darn close.
Nice bag of turkey feathers
A bag of mixed dubbing and chenille (take what you want leave the rest)
A piece of foam

I put in some pieces of fur, their really nice.

Squirrel
Muskrat
Elk
Rabbit

All the feathers and furs that I put in have my user name on them. The muskrat and squirrel I cured and they came out really nice. The under fur on the muskrat makes some really nice Adams.

I put a flattened cereal box on the top of everything so when sealing the box no tape can rip any of the bags inside. Box will go out tomorrow.
