Default Uni blend Leader? Mono and Uni thread in one leader

Anyone care to share how to make a leader from both uni and mono? Before I started making my own I was buying from Streamside and found the "uniblend" to be the "best" but can't figure out how to make one.

    I use kathy Scott's method.

Here is how I do it, YMMV....Lay up your standard leader using uni. Add 1 pass of 2# mono and furl. I am assuming you like the extra stiffness that the mono gives the leader?

I make blended leaders using thread/mono, thread/fireline, 2 colors of thread for a varigated effect, and regular/glow thread for low light conditions.

Thanks, that is what I suspected and that was generous advice from someone that sells leaders as well. I will certainly contact you if I ever decide to quite furling them myself.
