Lucky people

Do you know any people who are just plain lucky?
Going thru past winners I noticed one 3 time winner, two 2 time winners, and two people I know from my own fly club.
The last winner posted was Jan 2010

I'm not so sure luck had anything to do with it.

You have to know how many times they enter to find out if they are beating the odds. The more often you enter, the higher your odds of multiple wins. I have only entered a few times. I don't expect multiple wins.

Mike, looks like I'm in that group with you. And I dont consider myself lucky. Only two things I can ever remember getting in a drawing. And besides that, Im really a short-timer on the board, so I guess you could say I was lucky.

But not everybody does enter at every opportunity they have. They are less likely to become multiple winners than those who do. You have to know the odds before you can question whether someone is just lucky or not. Simple math.

I make it a habit to enter every month. That way I don't forget & if I win something I can't or won't use, I'll either give it to someone who I know can or I'll ask the Admins to draw another name.
BTW, I attended the Northern Ohio Fly Tying Expo today & won a very nice Orvis foam fly box loaded with a couple dozen expertly tied flies. I intend to copy some of the larger patterns & gurglers.
