Default anyone willing to donate a rod?

Is there anyone out there that may have an old flyrod and reel..i got into tying and love it. i was hoping to get a rod for christmas but didn't happen. i have three daughters, one in college, so money is tight...just throwing it out there ...doesn't hurt to ask, God bless

I do not consider this as "Begging". Lots of new to the sport of FF & Tying have been helped by others here on FAOL. If you can help someone out, do it. If not, how about contacting me to see if what you are going to post is proper? Might save you some face.

I really dont have a preference at this point being that i am close to a fresh water lake with bass and crappie in it, and also close to the gulf of mexico for reds and sea trout.

But he is asking if anyone has 1 to spare Jerry, not bugging everyone to give it to him. That is completely different.

What about those asking for equipment for teaching kids to tie or fish. Or asking for flies for a benefit. Unlike the chat room you don't have to read every post on the board. Just my thoughts.

While not free, this LL Bean sale flyrod/reel combo is pretty hard to resist!

I got a rod for you. It is a Sage VPS 590 2pc, #5. I think it's supposed to be a 9' but it's closer to 9' 6". I think the butt was extended for whatever reason. It is a custom build (not by me) that was stepped on just above the bottom guide on the tip section. It was crushed right there and I repaired it. Due to the repair, this is faster in action than it was and there is a bit of a flat spot in the curve when you put a load on it, but it will fish and should last a long time.

I can't ship until next week, but you pay the $10 in shipping and it's yours. You find your own reel and line.

PM me with an address and for how to send me the postage.

Thanks Kevin. Very generous of you!!
