I can't say about fly fishing but there's a lot of feed lots in Kansas.

They look terrific and I'm sure that you'll catch plenty of fish on them. I really don't enjoy casting large flies that cast like a wet gym sock so whenever I tie "large" flies, I try to use materials that do not hold the water too much. I have a "new" fly fur that I will be trying in the next week or so and hopefully it will shed the water when I back cast. I'll let you know how it works out.

Nice flies and thanks for sharing. It's always nice to see what others are tying just to get ideas and perhaps a bit of motivation.

Jim brings up a good point about the large flies, I have an extra hard hat I can let you have. I did paint it MSU Bulldog maroon however.

You need a heavy rod to cast big flies. I use a 10 wt with a shooting head for big bugs.

Now Popper, you know the MSU up north is green and white and the one down south is maroon and white. But I did not know you were a Spartan fan, but I did realize before Saturday you had a good season going for you. How was it that you got UofA, this year about the No. 3 team in the SEC and OSU got Univ. of Ark. arguably the No. 4 or 5 team?
