"Because by the Grace of God I can, be on a beautiful mountain stream with a friend , have the water boil from a 12" Native Brookie taking a self tyed dry,and feel it on the end of my cane... It don't get no better than that..."
Thanks Steve. Happy New Year to you as well. My family used to have a tradition of celebrating at home, with friends and family. We would fill the house with card tables and play pinochle until midnight. There was usually always a baby in the crowd somewhere, and we would dress it up with a party hat, diaper & a sash with whatever year on it that was appropriate. It was great fun. If you're planning on going out, many towns around the country have what they call "First Night" celebrations. They are a non-alcohol celebration in the down town area. Here is a link to First Night in Spokane.

Colleen & I are keeping 3 of our Grandkids all night. I"ll be sure to ask them tomorrow morning how midnight was, 'cuz I'll doze off early (my very own New Year's tradition).
HAPPY & SAFE NEW YEAR TO ALL!

When you can arrange your affairs to go fishing, forget all the signs, homilies, advice and folklore. JUST GO.
