It is been a difficult couple of years, both of my daughters lost their jobs. One daughter has been living with her boy friend, and is currently attending Community College to become a Register Nurse with a Federal Grant, and has found a job with a car dealership, for part-time work moving cars to other dealerships in the 5 state area on weekends. The other daughter and my grandson has been living at home with my wife and I, after she lost her job and her house had to be sold, because the father of her son is way behind in child support payments and her unemployment ended. Currently she has been attending a Cosmetology School and has been accepted to the Advance Cosmetology Class. She will graduate some time this spring and many of the top-notch Beauty Salons are already getting in line to hire her when she graduates and receives her State Cosmology License.

Earlier this year my wife was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and the Cancer was also discovered in her liver. About the same time my grandson while at school collapsed and had to be rushed to the hospital by Emergency Medical Team, where it was determined he had a seizure, he had another seizure about 4 months ago at school and again was rushed to the hospital by Emergency Medical Team. The medical specialist think this is something that will diminish with time as he gets older.

My wife has been taking Chemo Treatments most of this year with 3 weeks between treatments. At first she only had one week of nausea, and was able to return to work for two weeks, before she had to go in for the next chemo. Lately it has taken her two weeks to get over the nausea, and one week of work.

Now the hospital has determined that the cancer in her liver is shrunken enough to blast it with radiation and kill it off, which she will go in for the radiation treatment on Monday. Then the surgeons have scheduled a operation to remove the section of my wife's colon where the cancerous polyps where discovered. Hopefully this will either give my wife many more years of life. 5 years ago my wife had Melanoma Cancer on her back, from years of sun tanning many year ago. The surgeon that did the surgery got all the Melanoma Cancer Cells and it has been 5 years now with no return of the Melanoma.

So I am asking those who want to add my family to your prayers. My wife and I will be celebrating our 30th Wedding Anniversary while she in the hospital for the surgery.

For me, it has been hard to take on the expenses helping out my daughters and my grandson, covering my daughters and wifes bills, on my retirement pay from the Post Office and the U.S. Army. I have rubbing two pennies together for too long.

Two years ago I had my left kidney removed because of I had a colon checkup and they had to do a MRI and found a tumor on my left kidney (was the size of a golf ball). The growth and kidney were removed and there was no sign of cancer.

About the same time I was also diagnose with Advanced Anklosis Spondylitis ( that I have lived with for over 30 years). I now have to take injections of Embrel, and get checkups every 3 months. I also have a permanent Handicap Parking Permit because of the Anklosis Spondylitis (have limited range of walking, less than 600 feet before I have to rest). So that cuts into when and where I can go fly fishing when my body is up to it!

I guess the angles have have looking over me, and my family. No matter how bad it may be, I know it could be a lot worst!

So all five members of my family need your prayers. My Grandson Tanner, my two daughters Amanda and Meghan, and special prayers for my wife Kathy, and you might put in a good word with God for me also. Though I do speak to the All Mighty on a daily basis. Sometimes I get the idea, that God thinks that my name is Job! ~Parnelli
