What happened to the Mathias vise??

Byron would be my first name. I have a Mathias, but it is in storage following our relocation. It is a really nice vice. It was advertised in fly fisherman magazine in about the mid-90's. I ordered one from the add

Yes, wondered about that. Not sure of his first name, but the vise just went by the name "mathias Vise"

Hi Byron, the new Matthias vise surfaced on ebay for a short period. I believe we corresponded regarding it. If you go to fly flyfishersdepot.com you will see this vise. It does not have the needle nose fine point jaws that you remember. If you ever are able to get to the one in storage, I would be interested in making you an offer.
