Online magazines are an interesting and somewhat contradictory concept.
The glossy magazines have made their living by anointing themselves as the redactors
of fame. They get (or perhaps I should use the past tense and say got) to choose
who the ascending stars are, and then, by attaching their sparkling new personalities
to expensive products and exotic resort locations, they used to make advertising money.
But the internet is like magazine anti-matter. On the net everyone is equal and good ideas
have to survive and prosper by their merits alone--by word of keyboard and forum.
How you mix the two is a little like the idea of a Palestinian/Israeli reconciliation.
