Very nice tie. I've tied up a bucktail streamer of the Telephone Box and it looks like it should be productive in that format too. I keep meaning to add some stanard size wets as well as it just has that fish catching look.

    Parn,

You need to adjust the color on your monitor. Andy used Orange Floss for the body, not red. Even says so in the recipe.

A very nice fly, beautifully dressed.
You are quite right Ron, looks orangey to me to, knackered old eyes an' all.

This is one of favorite patterns . I love bergmans patterns. I tie them in a size 10/12

Fontinalis, any incite as to the naming of the fly? I googled "telephone box" and found the English telephone booths to be the required color for the body of the fly, but have not been able to research the fly's past history.

BTW, I was born at Margaret Hague Hospital, where and when the doctor was in residence. I feel a certain umbilical attachment to him as a fly fisherman. I fished the "Kack" as a kid and feel that I must have been in Bergman's and Dr. Burke's footsteps. I reminisce when I read "Trout". It was where this whole trout fishing, fly tying thing started for me.

Thanks for the great fly's you interpert for us on your vise! You are a craftsman.

Excellent tie! The turkey and jungle cock blend together so well...they look like one feather!
