potent potables?

OK, so Im feeling chatty, and wondering what this distinguished group prefers when having a toddy - I'm gonna guess and say scotch will be Number One

But, while I wanna know the first choice, I also want your almost as good cheaper alternative...

I used to love scotch, 1st choice Johnny Walker red; second, and almost as good McNaughten; also Famous Grouse is in there somewhere. If I was saving up for a new fly rod - House of Stuart, with a LOT of soda...
But I lost my taste for scotch, and returned to my fav bourbon
#1 geo dickel white label (from the land of CCU)
#2 evan williams black (almost as good)
#3 early times, saving up for a new fly rod

One of the many jobs I had in college was working in the Va ABC stores, so I got a lot of info. I actually worked in the most robbed ABC store in Virginia, in very urban Richmond. No excitement when I worked, by then we had more bulletproof glass than Ft Knox...
