Default What do you do with your wild mushroms?

chicken cacciatore with Hen of the woods (Grifola frondosa) mushrooms

I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.

    Looks good.

Given what I know about wild mushrooms, I'd probably end up dead or sitting in a corner talking with the great bear spirit or something.

I'm with Jeff in the corner.... Been there on accident... Though, I had fun when I realized it was happening... It's amazing when you realize taht you were So completely wrong about what you were eating.
My mom says it's all physics. I say that's my problem.. Just look at my old report cards....

I picked a mother lode of oyster mushrooms the other day. They made for some great pizza
The left overs got blanched and went into the freezer to join the 'hen of the woods' that I picked a few weeks ago

Given what I know about wild mushrooms, I'd let someone else eat them and watch them for a reaction. I don't appreciate the taste of mushrooms anyway.

    Rainbowchaser,

Don't do too much shrooming since I left the U.P. of Michigan. Hunted the wily morel mostly. My dad has his secret spots for getting hen-of-of-the-woods shrooms, so I get some off of him. I'll have to get one of those GPS tracking collars for dogs and hide it in my dads shroom huntin bag so I can get a bead on his hot spot! LOL!!!

    Best Regards, Dave S.

Likewise. The texture just isn't my cup of tea.
