When I was at the "gathering" in Townsend I stopped by the Little River's fly shop and they had the newest TFO fly rod there and I yard cast it and was very impressed with it. Their new rod is called "BVK" and the one I yard cast was the 9' 5wt 4 piece. It was a very smooth casting rod and I just had to have it! They made me a deal and I bought it and have been using it ever since. I am really enjoying this rod. I have one of my vintage Pflueger 1494's on it and it is well balanced with that reel. Of course the 1494 has the One-Pfoot reel foot, drag plate and spool balancer on it which makes it one sweet reel to use. Together the BVK and Pflueger 1494 have made a great team. I guess I will have to sell my Sage 2 piece Fli 8 1/2' 5 weight since it is no longer being used!

If you get a chance to yard cast a TFO BVK rod, I think you will be impressed. At least I was and am enjoying this rod very much....

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.
