hey Dave...that would be a correct call on the footwear...they are called 5 Fingers and they work really great for kayak and also wading and walking the canal in general...especially good for coral...the soles are vibram and its like going barefoot except with rubber coated feet...the tarpon are freshwater and caught where you caught peacocks by the daycare and post office near your hotel...I have been kayak fishing there for a few weeks now and getting tarpon, peacocks and jacks mostly ...it is recovering from the death freeze like everything else....
Hey Bonefishwhisperer, nice to see you again. Glad to see you're catching as always. I have been fishing the surf but not a lotta luck, oh well, fly casting practice I guess. lol.
