I voted a week and a half ago. I thought the maddening political ads would stop once I had voted but it has only gotten worse. AAAAAAWWWWWWWRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGG!

I think I hate all poiticians, even the ones I voted for.

    Just remember
Those who are smart enough not to get involved in politics
Must be governed by those who are not.

Wish I could remember who that quote is from. Telling, I suppose ...

Speaking of Chicago, did anyone see the mistake that Illinois made in the ballots? A green party candidate for Governor named Rich Whitney had his name mis-spelled to Rich Whitey, and a majority of the ballots were sent to primarily African American districts. Good luck to Mr. Whitney!

This is a great idea, we need to start a grass root movement to make it the law for all candidates to answer certain questions and have the answers available to the public.

I mailed in my ballot today. Every vote cast on the ballot was carefully researched and thought out. It always makes me feel good when I can cast a good vote.

I love it when they fall on the winning side. I usually despair when they don't.

I now live in an area where my political views are very much in the minority. So I will probably be experiencing a fair amount of despair soon. But I anticipate that any local despair will be more than offset by some huge joy on a national level.

But, folks, let's try real hard to keep this thread within the bounds of FAOL policy on politics. I've seen what political discourse can bring to FF boards and it is not at all pretty.

    You betcha!!
I'm even driving folks in my subdivision to the polls. I only have ONE caveat. They MUST vote as I do.

Why do I have that overwhelming urge to say, "Vote early ... vote often!!"??

Already Voted! We have "Vote By Mail" where we live. It sure beats standing in line, and you can research the voter's pamphlet if there is an issue you forgot about.
