I picked up a Series 1 TFO 7 1/2' 3 weight this weekend. They have changed the the blanks since I last looked at them. They are now a gloss green (matte black previously). It seems to be an enjoyable rod for the short time I cast it on the back pond. I believe it might like some 4 weight line for close in work, but it can really boom a fly out there.

Another subject, as I was putting it away I did a quick inventory. I currently own 12 fly rods and can you believe they ALL have different names on them. No 2 from the same maker, I hadn't realized that before. I realize some blanks may have been produced by the same maker, but all the names are different.

Lamiglass, Cabela's, TFO, H&H, G.Loomis, Fenwick, Orvis, Sage, Sierra Classic, Redington, Scott and St. Croix.

Kinda interesting.............
