Maybe some of you remember me asking about the TiCr vs the TiCr-X. I went to the fly shop and was able to cast them. I bought the TiCr and fished with it today for the first time. Man, when you get about 35-40 feet of line out this baby really rocks. I'm not very good at shooting line, sometimes I hit it just right and sometimes I don't. Today I was trying to cast to a pretty far spot across the river and did a double haul perfectly. The line shot out so hard it snactched the rod out of my hand and flung it some 120 feet across the river and landed on the bank. I had to swim the river to get my rod back. Finally to solve the problem I tied my rod to my belt with piece of rope. BAAADDDD idea. The next time I did a good shoot It pulled my whole body up out of the river and I landed 40 feet forward into some fast water.

For anyone buying this rod, I would highly suggest putting some ankle weights on to keep you grounded on some of those good cast.

I hope to buy the TiCr-X someday, but not before I buy a parachute.
