I sure hope they go by quickly.
I sure hope they go by quickly.
There is no closed season down here but the fish don't get that pretty. Wish you could join us for the Townsend gathering, I think that would be right up your alley! Any time you need a "Trout" fix just holler and we can go beat up on the Elk or Duck Rivers!!
I am waiting for the lake run browns and steel to come in the tribs of lake michigan.
Usually around November 10th or so I go to Iowa to fish it is open year round there.
It is better than no fishing but is not wisconsin. Right around thanksgiving I fish Devils
Lake near baraboo. It is open and I have seen some really nice browns caught there.
I am going to have to just grin and bear it. The wife holds the purse strings nowadays
and being retired and her working makes it hard to debate for a huge chunk of money for
travel when I have already fished 126 days this year.

spinner1,
Those are some very colorful feesh! BTW, that's a very realistic looking dropper pattern on your left index finger in your last photo. You must be using 9X fluorocarbon material because I can't see the tippet!LOL!! Also, I always thought there was 365 days in a fishing year, not 126! You also have the hard water fishing season which is at least 9 months long. Iced in or ice out, it all starts with ice.
Best regards, Dave S.
