    Starlings are invasives, much the same as asian carp, purple loosestrife, and didymo

    Great job Heinrich! I'm sure your variation is an effective pattern! I like the wire ribbing BTW!

    I tie both a Starling & Purple with floss and a Snipe & Purple using just violet Pearsall's and they are KILLER flies for me.

    I like to fish them a bit nontraditional by fishing them directly upstream below either an EWC or a small indicator. They are in every fly box I own!
