    Default Rx7+ & rx8+

    I have heard a rumor that Batson will be discontinuing their made in USA RX7+ and 8+ blanks. We builders will see some closeout pricing on these fine blanks in the near future. From what I understand Batson will try to continue with these desgned blanks but have them made overseas. Their goal of course is to offer a high quality product at a more competitive price. Here is to wishing good luck and future sucess to Batson. And of course it is nice for us builders to get deals on blanks.

    I sure hope the blanks will still be as good. I have the RX7+ in the 8'6" 4wt and it's a smooth Dry Fly rod.

    Hate to hear that, if true. These are two of my favorite blanks, particularly the RX7+ in the lower weights and the RX8+ in the 7wt and higher. It is a real shame that the American worker can't compete with overseas pricing.
