    Default Fishpond vest ( full) on the firehole

    My new fishpond vest which was full of equipment and flies taken along the fire hole river in yellowstone park this summer in late June

    I had gotten in too deep and all my gear got soaked. I took the vest off and laid it on a log to dry in the sun. Fished another spot. When I returned, it was gone. Reported it to the gate folks and filled out a form, but have heard nothing.

    Bear tracks, Wolf tracks, Raccoon , Fox, Coyote, Tracks.. Drag marks see any of those around.. Maybe a Pac rat?....

    As in the Army, I have never had a bad day Fly fishing, some damn uncomfortable days but never a bad one!

    I agree and a lowly one at that, not much further developed then a crow... they like shiny things.. sorry for your loss of gear..
