OVERHEARD

Being the publisher of a fly fishing magazine I spend plenty of time around others who are involved with fly fishing in one way or another. I also hear bits and pieces of conversations. They aren?t always relevant as a whole, but little comments come back which just might help you in your fly fishing.

Great articles from the Travis family this month. Observation is so key to the most important thing about fly fishing, "Enjoying the experience." If you are not having fun something is wrong. Back in my younger days chunking plastic worms, plugs and spinner baits for largemouth in Mississippi farm ponds, my wife didn't understand why I stayed just as long when the fish weren't biting as when they were. Now if I come home earlier than usual she ask why I came home early instead of why I stayed so long.
